One of the Prince's aides said he had found the trip incredibly moving and "emotionally raw". "He has been very touched and humbled by what

Prince William Wedding News: Wedding talk dominates Prince William royal visit

Prince William carried out the official tour on behalf of the Queen, without fiancee Kate Middleton. Prince William sparked excitement in Cairns when he mentioned returning to the country for his honeymoon.

Prince William Wedding News: Prince William eases the pain of disaster.

AS A grassroots revival of the monarchy in the colonies, Prince William's disaster tour has undoubtedly been a success - at least in Queensland.
The heir to the throne has been adamant that his first official visit to
Australasia be about meeting people as informally as possible.
Apart from donning an Akubra hat at a country music concert in
Toowoomba yesterday, there have been few media stunts.

Instead, personal connections with ordinary Queenslanders who have experienced extraordinary natural disasters were the order of the weekend.

Vic towns prepare for Prince William

The northern Victorian flood-affected towns of Kerang and Murrabit are finalising preparations for Prince William's visit.

William also met the Toowoomba family of flood hero Jordan Rice, the 13-year-old boy who sacrificed his life for his little brother.

The Prince of Perspiration!

Haribo Candy is Launching a New Line in Honor of the Royal Couple.

Love is not only the sweet thing about Prince William and Kate Middleton's impending nuptials. Haribo candy company has created a new product, inspired by the royal engagement.

Last week, Hash Shangadia, the owner of Peaches Spar convenience store in Kate's hometown, told the British national press that Kate is a regular customer and and purchases, on average, two packs of Haribo candy a week. Now, his will be the first store in the country to sell Haribo's new line inspired by the Royal Wedding, "Hearts and Rings and Other Nice Things."

New Zealand finds fresh heir in Prince William.

The day has long gone when a royal visitor can win affection in this corner
of the realm simply by coming here, though even that was becoming a
rare gesture until Prince William came of age. In him we have met a
future king who knows when he should be here and, even more important,
seems comfortable when he is here.

Christchurch's earthquake memorial service yesterday was moving for many more reasons than the presence of the Prince. He may have been the guest of honour but he gave the impression he did not expect to be; his manner and his few words to the service suggest he saw himself as making one contribution among many to the city's need of comfort and encouragement.

Prince William wows crowds with easy manner.

The crowds gathered to watch Prince William plant a small tree after yesterday's memorial service in Hagley Park but it was his impromptu meet-and-greet that stole the show.

The Prince was met with cheers from a three-deep crowd who stood behind a security barrier at a corner of the park near the Avon River. As he waited for the Prime Minister to arrive, he walked over to shake hands with people and pose for photographs. He got close enough for the crowds to touch and though his dark-suited security guards were close behind, they didn't interfere with his connection with the crowd.

Prince William addresses Christchurch mourners

he addressed a crowd of tens of thousands at a memorial service for victims of last month's earthquake in New Zealand.

The prince said he was conveying his own message, as well as one from his grandmother, and told the crowd on Friday they were an "inspiration to all people".

Prince William brightens rainy day!

Somehow it seems quite normal to have the second in line to the throne walking through the rain with no tie and no umbrella in a pretend West Coast town from the goldrush days.

And because this is Prince William visiting, it also seems normal to have a media contingent parked here at Shantytown, a Greymouth tourist attraction which closed early so the Prince could come in relative privacy to sit with the families of the 29 men killed in the Pike River mine tragedy and offer his heartfelt sympathy.

Charitable Royal Wedding Gifts, Not Presents.

Prince William and Kate Middleton on Wednesday requested charitable gifts in lieu of wedding presents, seeking to pre-empt the tide of extravagant – and unusual – offerings that typically flood in for a royal engagement.

The palace said the couple was "touched by the goodwill shown them," and selected 26 charities to benefit from a special charity gift fund.

The Royal Wedding cake.

While fashionistas are eagerly waiting to see Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, for food lovers it’s all about the cake.

Last week, Britain’s Eat Out magazine reported that chefs from the Welsh National Culinary Team have been selected to bake the royal wedding cake – an apt choice given that the newlyweds will be living in North Wales, where Prince William will be stationed with the Royal Air Force.

Prince William jets into Christchurch.

PRINCE William will jet into Christchurch today to meet with grieving families and help residents mourn the death of their quake-hit city. And so it must have done to generations of undergraduates before us

Kate's wedding diet is just Tangfastic!

With the Royal Wedding just seven weeks away, there have been fears
Kate Middleton has been losing too much weight. But the bride-to-be has

Tangfastics sweets, eating her way through two large packets a week.

Shopkeeper Hash Shingadia and his wife Chan say she regularly visits their
